The new production plant of ZF Chassis Modules Hungary is one of the most advanced industrial investments in Kecskemét. The facility manufactures front and rear axle modules for Mercedes’s electric vehicles. Developed by Panattoni Hungary Development Kft., the nearly 17,000-square-metre hall integrates state-of-the-art technologies with environmentally conscious solutions, bringing renewed momentum to the region’s automotive industry and economic growth.
The construction was executed by Market Építő Zrt. in line with the company’s core values of quality, reliability and commitment. The project was delivered one month ahead of the planned schedule, with exemplary precision and using state-of-the-art technologies. The plant was built in accordance with BREEAM Excellent certification requirements, with a focus on sustainability and energy efficiency. Electric heat pumps provide cooling and heating, so there are no local carbon dioxide emissions during production. Efficiency, safety and employee comfort were key considerations in the design of the production hall. The modern production area is complemented by state-of-the-art office, logistics and service units, providing optimal support for production processes.
The investment was realised in cooperation between Panattoni Hungary, the Kecskemét Urban Development and Business Development Fund and Városi Alapkezelő Zrt. The project is a good example of how the coordination of international industrial developments and local economic development initiatives can create an innovative, sustainable and forward-looking industrial facility that has created more than 450 new jobs in Kecskemét, including a number of high value-added engineering and technology positions.
