During the expansion of the Emerson industrial technology company’s plant in Eger, Market Építő Zrt. constructed a new 10,500 square metre production hall, which nearly doubled the company’s local production capacity. A key challenge of the development project was that construction took place adjacent to an existing, continuously operating factory. This required meticulous scheduling, stringent safety measures, and continuous attention to maintaining uninterrupted production.

The new production hall was erected using precast concrete elements manufactured by PREbeton, a company within the Market Group, employing self-compacting concrete to achieve architectural fair-faced surfaces. During the project, we used 117 tonnes of reinforcing steel and approx. 1,850 cubic metres of concrete. Due to its proximity to the Eger stream, the hall required deep foundations, for which 528 gravel piles were constructed, ensuring a stable and safe structural base in the long term.

As part of the construction, new offices, production units and a large 178-metre-long steel pipe storage facility were also built to support the energy efficiency and sustainability of the manufacturing processes. By installing modern mechanical, electrical and automation systems, our experts ensured a comprehensive technical connection between the new plant and the existing factory.

The development added a total of 10,500 square metres of usable space to Emerson’s factory in Eger. The expansion, which took a year to complete, not only strengthened the domestic presence of the company, but also created hundreds of new jobs in the region in the long run.
