The Autonet Logistics distribution centre built in Üllő was one of the largest investments of the Swiss-based SAG – Autonet Group, which was executed with the assistance of Market Építő Zrt. The 16,500 m² state-of-the-art facility was equipped with a partially robotised logistics system and serves both the company’s Hungarian network and the markets of nine Central and Southern European countries.
The project included earthworks, the installation of interior design and mechanical systems, as well as the construction of external infrastructure, including a water reservoir, tanks, a sprinkler system and a gatehouse. One of the most complex elements of the construction project was the installation of the 4,000 m² AutoStore warehouse system, which required precise floor levelling and special structural solutions. In the system’s 1×1 metre grid, 65 robots move 120,000 special storage boxes, ensuring fast and efficient access to tens of thousands of items on a daily basis.
The facility can store 8,000 pallets and is served by 25 loading ramps. Thanks to AutoStore technology, the warehouse operates with four times more efficient space utilisation than traditional storage systems, while also featuring low energy consumption. The procurement of long-lead-time insulation and sandwich panels posed a particular challenge during construction, but the project was completed on time and to a high standard.
The SAG – Autonet group is present in 13 countries, and the Üllő site, which functions as the regional centre, is capable of handling 22 million items per year. The centre plays a key role in serving not only the company’s 19 sites in Hungary, but also its workshops in Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Serbia, Slovenia and Italy, among others.
The investment provides jobs for more than 130 people, while taking the efficiency and digitalisation of automotive parts logistics in the region to a new level.
