In spring 2024, a 17,000 m² production hall was handed over in the 15th district of the capital, serving as an extension to the Siemens Energy site. The new building provides an extension to the existing production centre, offering space for various production and storage functions on two levels. The primary objective of the project, implemented by Market Építő Zrt., is to manufacture gas power plant components, including gas turbine burner heads, in the hall.

The ground floor of the hall houses the manufacturing processes, while the upper floor, in addition to storage functions, also features a modern welding training centre, which supports the training of new professionals. Construction began in autumn 2022, and the building combines a number of innovative solutions, such as a closed machine room under a 700 m² green roof, which ensures the smooth operation of the engineering systems necessary for the operations in the hall.

The project also includes a three-storey head building with offices and staff changing rooms, as well as a state-of-the-art dual training centre where practical training in the latest technologies is provided, actively supporting the preparation of tomorrow’s skilled workers. The sustainability aspects of the investment are outstanding: a 1.5 MW solar park has been built as part of the Factory Rescue Programme, which contributes significantly to meeting the building’s energy needs.

The investment has created 400 new jobs and significantly increases the production capacity of Siemens Energy, ensuring a modern, sustainable and innovative manufacturing environment.
