One of the most modern logistics centres in Hungary was built in Páty, Pest County, by Market Építő Zrt. on behalf of Kühne + Nagel Kft., under the development of Inpark (brand name of NIPÜF Zrt.). The greenfield project has created a car parts distribution hall of more than 23,000 square metres, which plays a key role in the international transport and supply chain.
The project is situated in a strategically advantageous location from a logistical perspective: owing to its proximity to the M1 motorway, it affords swift connections in the direction of both Budapest and Vienna, as well as to Bratislava. The investment has brought the logistics infrastructure of the region to a new level and created around 160 new jobs in the region.
The construction of the facility was carried out with an exemplary schedule and tight deadlines: the construction works were completed in just over 8 months, between November 2016 and August 2017. Market Építő Zrt. was the general contractor for the project, carrying out complex tasks ranging from the construction of the building structures to the installation of the mechanical and electrical systems.
The logistics hall was built according to the built-to-suit principle and the client’s individual requirements. The interior features optimised warehousing and goods handling solutions, modern LED lighting and a heat pump heating/cooling system to ensure sustainability and energy efficiency. The exterior space features modern truck parking and loading areas.
The project is unique in that it was Inpark’s first greenfield development, which also set the direction for further industrial and logistics investments. For Market Építő Zrt. the project was not only a construction challenge, but also a strategic partnership with the state-backed industrial park development company.
