Chervon Auto manufacturing plant

Chinese-owned Chervon Auto established its first European production base in Miskolc, taking a significant step towards the European automotive market. The project, which started in October 2021, was implemented in the Mechatronics Industrial Park by Market Építő Zrt. in just under a year and a half. The establishment of the factory was not only a milestone from a technological point of view, but also created around 150 new jobs in the region.

The nearly 33,000 m² industrial complex is centred around a 25,000 m² production hall dedicated primarily to the manufacture of cast and machined components for electric vehicles. The high-capacity die-casting machines installed in the facility are outstanding both nationally and within the region. Their size and performance significantly exceed those of similar, widely used systems. The plant’s planned production capacity is 2 million vehicle components per year.

The project included the construction of a die-casting hall, a CNC machining facility, a melting shop, an office block, and a 25.5 metre-high automated high-bay warehouse. Together, the warehouse system and state-of-the-art docking gates ensure efficient manufacturing and logistics operations. The two-storey office section features curtain wall glazing, automated façade shading, and a DALI-controlled lighting system.

Our company was responsible for the execution of all building structures, machine foundations, and the system of technological pits, with particular attention to the technical integration of foundry technology –  a process requiring precise coordination and a high level of professional expertise

The international project also required the harmonisation of European and Asian standards, which presented both technical and cultural challenges. At the peak period of construction, more than 300 professionals worked on site to ensure fast, efficient and on-time completion

The Miskolc factory plays a key role in strengthening Hungary’s position in electric vehicle manufacturing and enables Chervon Auto to serve its European partners more quickly and flexibly.
