The aim of the project, which is being implemented by Market Építő Zrt. and developed by Property Market Ingatlanfejlesztő Kft., is to create a liveable, modern neighbourhood that combines housing, employment opportunities, leisure activities and community experiences. The BudaPart urban quarter, located in the 11th district on the shore of Lágymányosi Bay, is a development of unique scale and complexity in Hungary. The project covers 54 hectares, of which 11 hectares are water surface (Lágymányosi Bay), 23 hectares are development area and 26 hectares are green space, including the popular Kopaszi Dam. The development began in December 2016 and is expected to be completed in ten years.

Residential buildings, office buildings and community spaces

The BudaPart district encompasses all the elements of modern urban life. As part of the investment, 15 residential buildings, 12 office buildings and a hotel will be constructed – the latter being the 198-room Radisson Hotel Budapest BudaPart, which will welcome guests with a restaurant, conference rooms and a fitness centre. A total of 2,500–3,000 apartments will be built in the district in the form of residential towers of various heights – 8, 15, 16 and 18 storeys. The ground floors will feature approximately 15,000 m² of commercial space, where restaurants, cafés, shops and service providers – including a pharmacy, drugstore and SUP shop – will serve the needs of residents, workers and visitors. In its final form, the district will be home to around 25,000–30,000 people, offering a harmonious balance between work and private life.

Sustainable solutions and services

During the design of BudaPart, special attention was paid to people-centric urban planning, the creation of liveable spaces and the promotion of community connections. Innovative, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly solutions are implemented in every element of the project. With its green spaces, proximity to the waterfront, recreational opportunities and services within walking distance, the district not only creates a modern living environment, but also a genuine well-being environment for residents and workers. The aim of BudaPart is to create an independent district that is sustainable in the long term and has the power to inspire and build community.

Milestones in the construction process to date

Eight residential buildings have been completed, comprising a total of 1,322 apartments and 165,000 square metres of living space.

Three office buildings and a hotel have also been built, with a total floor area of 90,000 square metres.

The MOL Campus, spanning 86,000 square metres, has also been completed as part of the district.

More than 40 retail units – shops and restaurants – have opened their doors in the district.

As part of the transport and public utility developments, 2,500 linear metres of roads, 1,800 linear metres of water pipelines, 134 lampposts and 111 bicycle racks have been completed, and 1,420 garages have been built.

To increase green space, we have planted 433 trees in the district so far.

The ongoing work involves the development of an additional 180,000 square meters of residential space and 250,000 square meters of office space.
